There will be two additional national regattas that select crews will attend based on there performance at the Midwest level.
We are anticipating a regatta fee of $700 to $750 depending on the number of rowers to participate in the Spring 2010 season.
UA Crew Fundraising
UA Crew Fundraising is critical to the success and betterment of the team. Fundraising dollars are used to purchase
new equipment, offset operating costs and ultimately lower registration fees. A new racing shell can cost between 18 and 30
thousand. Due to wear and tear on your equipment and an effort to keep all equipment safe it is necessary to
occasionally purchase new equipment.
Fundraising allows you to have this new equipment. It is expected that all members of this team participate in
fundraising. Many different products and services have been used in the past to raise funds. This year the spring fundraisers
theme will be -Clean Sweep.-
In February the "Clean Sweep" Garage Sale will take place and we will also be selling the
product "Clean Sweep" foaming hand sanitizer, a product that UA Crew uses and has found to be effective.
The rowers will be given the hand sanitizer that can be used to recoup a portion of their spring fees,
but we are also asking that you sell more to allow for the purchase of new equipment. Without your
participation we will not be able to better our equipment.
The Coaches and Board
feel that this product demonstrates our proactive approach to health and hygiene of our athletes, the rowing community and the
general population.
